Top 5 Obstacles for Realtors to earning commissions through short sales

  1. Commissions are discounted by the lenders
  2. Realtors need a written offer to send to banks and there are no current offers
  3. Realtors send the short sale package to the foreclosing lender without an offer and the lender rejects it
  4. Realtors find a buyer to close on the deal but the short sale negotiation ( loss mitigation) process takes too long for the buyer " walks" .
  5. The agent wastes time negotiating with lenders when they should be promoting their properties and /or themselves in the mean time.
